2014 ConferenceWe are happy to announce that a preview of the schedule for the 2014 Conference is now available, and that registration is now open!

We are so excited about this year’s conference in Los Angeles — this will be our 21st Annual OCD Conference, and we hope to make it the best yet. The conference will feature more than 100 presentations, workshops, and seminars, as well as 33 evening activities and support groups. Our presenters include some of the most experienced and knowledgeable clinicians and researchers in the field, as well as people with OCD and family members who are willing to share their stories.

I see there is no OCA group this year. I am shocked and disappointed. OCA – speaking personally – although small in number but growing – is one of the self help treatment options that works when conbined with ERP and Medication. I have gained so much from it and although not cured from OCD I do feel much progress in recovery from it. I am so sorry that after all these years the IOCDF is dropping it from its schedule.

    • Hi Barry:

Thank you for your feedback. It becomes increasingly more difficult each year to decide between the hundreds of proposals we receive for the conference (this year, we received 310 proposals for only 138 spots!). There are many presentations, support groups, and evening events that have run for many years that we unfortunately had to say no to this year- we are consistently told by conference attendees that it is important for us to have new and fresh information at the conference, which means that we have to rotate the program a bit each year. We know that OCA has been a well-attended program and we hope to offer it again at future OCD Conferences.

We appreciate you telling us about your concerns, and are happy that you are still planning to come to the conference. See you in July!
