Transportation & Parking

San Francisco has plenty of transportation options for getting around the city.

  • The bay area’s subway and commuter rail system is called BART, and is often the quickest and easiest way to reach downtown San Francisco from the airport, the East Bay, and other outlying areas.
  • MUNI/San Francisco Municipal operates buses, trains, cable cars, and the F-line heritage streetcar.
  • Cable Cars, also known as trolleys, are San Francisco’s historical street cars that run along cables that are affixed to the street which help them climb San Francisco’s infamous hills.
  • In addition to public transportation options, San Francisco taxi services are available throughout the city in addition to Uber and Lyft car services.
  • If you are driving there is parking available at the hotel. Daily valet parking at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis costs $70.70 per vehicle, per day (oversized vehicles are $82.10); Off-site parking is $34 per vehicle, per day (rates subject to change).
