It also includes three (3) monitored meals and snacks weekly.
The goal of this DBT Skills IOP program is to give adolescents the tools they need to have successful relationships and boundaries. Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a specific type of cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy developed in the late 1980s by psychologist Marsha M. Linehan to help better treat borderline personality disorder. DBT is highly effective for reducing suicidal behavior, self-harm behaviors, substance abuse, depression and anxiety and for people who have difficulty regulating their emotions. It’s also effective for helping teens who have problems getting along with people, conflict in relationships, short lived relationships, and no long term meaningful relationships.
All of the IOPs offer opportunities to engage in therapeutic work offsite at scheduled times.
Individuals with co-morbid conditions are welcome to participate in our program at the discretion of the provider. For those with co-morbid conditions, Doorways offers additional individual services, including medication management, nutritional counseling, and specialized therapy. It is important to note that Doorways, LLC is exclusively focused on providing services for adolescents. We also offer a faith-based treatment perspective that respects the clients’ personal faith tradition. For us, faith-based treatment means a willingness to respect and incorporate a patient’s worldview, faith system, or religious practice in treatment as desired.
Doorways accepts several types of private insurance, self-pay, and offers grants on a case by case basis.
