We are excited and honored that you’ve chosen to use your talents and areas of interest to help raise funds and awareness for OCD and related disorders by hosting a fundraising event in your community with your family, friends, and coworkers.

Fundraising Ideas

Many different activities can be fundraisers. Some events are large-scale and require lots of planning and support, while others could be carried out individually or with a small team.

Here are a few ideas to get you started:

  • Bake Sale/bakeoff
  • Car wash
  • Community sporting event (baseball, basketball, football, etc.)
  • House party
  • Bingo night
  • Garage sale
  • Benefit concert
  • Walk/run
  • Sports tournament

Online Fundraising

There are many different crowdfunding websites out there you can use for collecting donations online for your DIY event. The IOCDF recommends you use for all online fundraising. Starting a fundraiser is absolutely free, and by using Mightycause you can create a simple and fun DIY, easily tell your friends about it, collect all donations securely online and they will go directly to the IOCDF.


If you are collecting donations at your DIY event, please send the proceeds to the IOCDF within 30 days of the event taking place. All checks must be made out to the IOCDF.
