OCD Awareness Week: Treatment Advances and Supporting Loved Ones with OCD
October 19, 2019 at 10:00 am - 4:00 pm EDT
The Translational Therapeutics Lab, Stanford’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and OCD SF Bay Area will be hosting it’s third annual OCD awareness week event, with this year’s theme of “Treatment Advances and Supporting Loved Ones with OCD.” Jeff Bell—KCBS radio news anchor, author, and cofounder of Adversity 2 Advocacy Alliance—will give the keynote speech. There will also be panels of experts on the topics of “Medications, CBT, TMS, Genetics;” “Comorbid Conditions: Depression/Bipolar Disorder, Trichotillomania/Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors, Pandas;” and “How to Support Loved Ones with OCD.” There will be time for a Q&A in every session. No registration is needed. The event is free and open to not just the Stanford community, but to anyone from the public to drop in at any time during the event.
