OCD Georgia – OCD and Addiction Mini Conference

OCD and Addiction Education Series
Patrick McGrath, PhD, the Director of the Center for Anxiety and Obsessive Compulsive Disorders (OCD) at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital, will speak about OCD and addiction, the latest research on comorbidity, implications this research has for treatment, and misconceptions plaguing the treatment model for these dual diagnoses.

IOCDF spokespersons Elizabeth McIngvale, PhD and Ethan S. Smith will share their struggle and journey with OCD as they speak on the hidden side of mental illness. They will discuss depression, suicide, addiction, and their desire to break barriers in order highlight the devastation, struggle, and stigma those with OCD and mental illness may be faced with.
