SUMMARY:Art Therapy for OCD\, Anxiety and Depression
DESCRIPTION:Using imagery as a creative reflection tool\, participants will explore their own experiences\, voices\, stories\, and hopes for change through art.\nUsing Storyteller cards to invite expression and observation\, we will explore these questions: \nHow do we tell our stories?\nHow do we find our voices? \nParticipants will be guided through these enquiries by combining response art\, journal words and the making of our own Story teller card \nWhy Art Therapy :\nAn arts-based approach offers a creative and accessible way to explore and express personal experiences\, thoughts and emotions that can sometimes be difficult to communicate through words alone. Using the cards as creative prompts encourages individual interpretation\, self-expression and shared understanding\, while giving participants choice and control over what they wish to explore and share.\nThis approach supports the theme “Lived Experience\, Real Voices\, Real Change” by creating space for diverse perspectives\, creativity and meaningful reflection.

SUMMARY:Online OCD Conference\, A Global Event\, Day 2!
DESCRIPTION:The Online OCD Conference\, a Global Event\, is a 2-day conference that features presentations from the top OCD experts from around the world. This event\, open to anyone from anywhere\, features over 60 interactive presentations\, a keynote\, facilitated groups that offer community support\, and after-hours activities all designed for people with OCD and related disorders. Additionally\, the virtual conference is also for family members and loved ones of someone with OCD\, mental health professionals wanting to earn continuing education credits\, and anyone else interested in learning more about obsessive-compulsive disorder. So\, join us on Saturday\, November 7 and Sunday\, November 8\, 2026\, for two days of information and community focused on OCD and related disorders! \nThe conference begins with a Keynote consisting of 5 community members with lived experience who will share their recovery journeys with us. The conference is two days filled with panel presentations led by some of the top OCD experts\, researchers\, psychiatrists\, advocates\, and people impacted by OCD. We also have evening activities\, including community discussion groups\, an activity for young children and a call-in show\, and we’re wrapping up the conference with an “Ask the Experts” Q&A panel and an opportunity drawing for prizes. We have more information on our registration page: https://ocdconference.eventbrite.com or our website’s page dedicated to our 2026 conference: https://ocdsocal.org/conference. \nRegistration started on August 1\, 2026\, and registration continues all the way up until the conclusion of the event. Each presentation will be recorded\, and registration includes access to these recordings for 60 days after the event! \nWe’re excited to partner with USC and OCD Training School to offer APA and NBCC continuing education credits at this year’s OCD SoCal Conference. Please check with your individual licensing board to confirm that the CE credits offered meet your specific licensing requirements. We are offering 8.75 CE units at the conference. \nIf you visit our website\, https://ocdsocal.org/conference\, we feature the Online OCD Conference’s Program and Agenda\, which include talk titles and descriptions\, speakers\, our different conference tracks\, information on the keynote presentation and after-hours events\, and additional conference information. \nMake sure to email info@ocdsocal.org with any questions\, as well as to request to be added to our mailing list as we continue to pump out more information about this November event. \nThe low cost of registration is to cover the event as we are working with an expert event team that is building our conference website and event platform. We will be utilizing Zoom for this conference\, so if you’re comfortable with Zoom\, the conference will be familiar to you and easy to navigate! \nRegister ASAP as registration prices increase closer to the event. If you visit our registration page\, https://ocdconference.eventbrite.com\, current pricing is available. Also\, make sure to email us at scholarships@ocdsocal.org if cost is a factor and you’d like to request a scholarship ticket for attendance. We look forward to seeing you at our 2-day\, online conference!
