Narrative of Services:

The Pediatric OCD Consultation Service focuses on early identification and intervention. We work closely with family physicians, mental health practitioners and community agencies to allow easy access for our services. Currently we provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments for children and adolescents who may have OCD spectrum disorders. Following the assessment session(s) we may provide followup, CBT or medications for youth with OCD and their families.

Training Description:

I am an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at McMaster University. During my child and adolescent psychiatry residency (Tel-Aviv University, Israel), I also completed a year of training in the School of Cognitive Behavior Therapies and a post-doctoral fellowship at the Yale Child Study Center. I then moved to Canada for a Clinical Research Fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, focusing on Neuroimaging of Pediatric OCD. Since 2006, I am a staff Psychiatrist at the Anxiety Treatment and Research Center, St. Joseph’s Health-Care in Hamilton, Ontario. There, I am the lead for the Pediatric OCD Consultation Service.
