This Professional Networking SIG is designed to build relationships and foster collaboration among mental health professionals in the fields of OCD, anxiety and related disorders. This group focuses on various interests such as research, advocacy, networking, and peer-consultation breaking into small groups to foster relationships with other professionals with similar interests. This SIG is for students, trainees, professionals at all levels in their careers. Students, trainees, and young professionals have an opportunity to network with and potentially build mentorship relationships with those who are mid-career or senior in this field.

Research:

What a research career looks like short term and long term, applying to grad school (a how to), balance of clinical and research time, mentor/mentee program ideas, journey of a graduate student, learning more about co-occurring treatments, etc.

Building a private practice/business; where to access additional training opportunities; using different treatment modalities, etc.

Rotating facilitator by a mid-level or senior OCD specialist who will be available to answer case consultation questions and also to encourage group feedback.
