Narrative of Services:

Individual practice (all patients are treated by me). OCD always represents a major portion of clients (more than 50%) and over the years have treated 1000+ patients. I have treated patients across the life cycle including children, adolescents through to older adulthood. With young patients a parent is invariably included to insure reinforcement of concepts and adherence to the treatment plan.My approach always includes the scientifically validated treatments but not mechanistically so as the therapeutic effort is highly supportive and customized to the individual.

Training Description:

My work in OCD as well as the other anxiety disorders began in 1975. I was part of the founding staff of the pioneering Roosevelt Hospital Clinic (treating all anxiety disorders and contributed in numerous ways to the emerging CBT approaches). I have been a clinician for more than 35 years with a particularly strong focus on OCD in all it’s forms. Have contributed to the scientific and clinical literature (also IOCDF Newsletter) professor 20 years SUNY Downstate Medical School, taught CBT post masters at Hunter and Touro Graduate Schools of Social Work, numerous papers, clinical workshops at ADAA, IOCDF NASW, hospitals etc.
