Lisa Bateman, PhD
Narrative of Services:
Dr. Bateman uses evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy with exposure and response prevention to treat anxiety disorders, with a special emphasis on treating OCD and OC Related Disorders. Dr. Bateman completed specialized post-doctoral training in providing evidence-based treatment for OCD and OC Related disorders and has experience treating 200+ individuals (youth and adults) with OCD and OC Related Disorders. Dr. Bateman designs treatment plans to address the specific needs of each individual. Treatment options include individual treatment, parent support groups, intensive therapy, and OCD support groups.
Dr. Bateman is a licensed clinical psychologist with a PhD in School Psychology from the University of South Florida. She is a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist with special interest and training in the treatment of pediatric and adult OCD and OC Related Disorders. She completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship at the Rothman Center for Neuropsychiatry at the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, in which she acquired specialized training in treating anxiety disorders in youth and adults in an outpatient setting. In addition, she has specialized treatment experience in using Habit Reversal Training for trichotillomania, tic disorders, and other impulse control disorders.
