Allison Bonifay, MA, LPC
Narrative of Services:
At NW Anxiety Institute, LLC, outpatient services are offered for adults and adolescents seeking treatment for OCD and anxiety-related disorders. We offer individual sessions and treatment groups. As an advocate for community support and equal access to quality mental health treatment, I contract with state agencies and non-profit organizations in the Portland Metro area to provide services and seminars on effective treatments for anxiety disorders. I have extensive experience in treating and speaking on Hoarding Disorder. After recently attending the IOCDF ABTTI Hoarding Disorder training, I am actively working towards great accessibility for Hoarding Disorder treatment in the Portland area.
I am a licensed Mental Health Therapist with a master's degree in Counseling Psychology. I completed my graduate education at Pacific University and have continued my training and practice to focus on evidence-based treatments for anxiety disorders. My experience is diverse from providing residential, outpatient, and in-home treatment. My focus in treatment is to provide support in understanding how and why anxiety works. Together, we work to challenge the underlying fears and experiment with more effective strategies to successfully decrease the anxiety. My goal is to assist in attaining a sense of empowerment and independence from previous coping strategies.
