Individual psychoanalytic approach with a CBT and ERP component. Have worked with individuals in the psychiatric hospital, in the outpatient setting, and in my private practice. Have been in private practice since 1999.

Received MSW from the University of New England, clinical training at Spring Harbor Hospital (free-standing psychiatric hospital in Maine for youth and adults), and psychoanalytic training as a Jungian-analyst from the C.G. Jung Institute, Boston.
Have been working with OCD in one capacity or another for thirty years. Have also attended the BTTI in 2017.
Specialties include: family and couples therapy, parenting, foster care/adoption, termination of parental rights and reunification, blended families, adolescent issues including adolescents entering into independent and/or semi-independent living, work-related conflicts and stress, depression, anxiety/OCD, death/dying/grief, HIV/AIDS, as well as sexual orientation, gender, transgender and transsexual issues.
Also, specializes in substance abuse and chemical dependency. Additionally, Rick offers Employee Assistance through select EAP programs and offers consultation and has experience working with those with developmental delays.
He works with clients on a symbolic and non-verbal level and offers dream work and other symbolic modalities for those who are called to it.
Extensive experience and education working with the transgender community, the GLBT communities.
