Narrative of Services:
I offer online and in-person psychotherapy to individuals with anxiety, stress, panic, OCD, insomnia, and mood disorders. I have experience in private practice, community agencies, and school-based settings. Currently almost all of my clients are experiencing some degree of anxiety and/or OCD symptoms. I use evidence-based approaches, especially Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also draw from my background and training in multicultural perspectives, Narrative therapy, and Mindfulness techniques.

I continually seek opportunities to deepen my knowledge and skills through workshops, intensive trainings, webinars, readings, and professional groups. Besides advanced training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I also have an MA in Anthropology and specialized training as a teacher of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). I have extensive experience with anxiety-related disorders, and more recently have been increasing my focus on OCD.
I have an MA in Cultural Anthropology, advanced academic training in Human Ecology, and an MA in Counseling Psychology with a multicultural/Latino emphasis. I also have an extensive multicultural background and professional experience with diverse populations.
