Narrative of Services:

The Child Mind Institute’s Intensive OCD Program helps children and teens struggling with OCD make significant progress in a short period of time. Led by Jerry Bubrick, PhD, a nationally recognized expert in the treatment of OCD, the program provides evidence-based care to children and their families up to five hours a day, five days a week. All patients work one-on-one with a clinician throughout the course of their treatment. This immersive approach enables most children to improve noticeably within three to six weeks and, in some cases, helps avoid hospitalization.

We provide CBT for the most commonly co-occuring conditions including depression, other forms of anxiety and ADHD.

Training Description:

I have specialized in the treatment of OCD and OC Spectrum Disorders since 2000, and have treated hundreds of cases in that time. I am co-author of the book “Overcoming Compulsive Hoarding” which was the first book ever written on that topic. As a Clinical Assistant Professor at the NYU Langone School of Medicine, I have trained pediatric psychiatrists and psychologists in the CBT treatment of OCD and related conditions. I train clinical externs and post-doctoral fellows at the Child Mind Institute.
