Narrative of Services:
EDCare offers an Intensive Outpatient program for adults and adolescents as well as outpatient services for adults and adolescents. While EDCare specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, many patients that seek out treatment at EDCare are also struggling with significant anxiety disorders and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Currently, the adolescent program has three patients diagnosed with moderate to severe OCD. One patient struggles with severe, intrusive thoughts, another struggles with severe compulsions and behaviors used in an attempt to reduce anxiety and feel safe, and the third struggles with severe checking behaviors to ensure parents safety.
Michelle has been treating eating disorders for 12 years and has been treating Obsessive Compulsive Disorder for 7 years. Michelle has completed multiple in person, and online, trainings focused specifically on Exposure Response Prevention therapy. Michelle has also been supervised by practitioners that specialize in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Exposure Response Prevention therapy. Michelle has treated patients with severe OCD at all levels of care; inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient.
Michelle has worked at a wide variety of treatment facilities. This has allowed Michelle the opportunity to work with people of all demographics.
