Narrative of Services:

Our facility, the Institute for Behavior Therapy, is the oldest private cognitive behavioral center in the country (founded in 1971). We have a very distinguished staff of interns, postdoctoral fellows, staff, and senior clinicians all of whom employ evidence-based treatment approaches for the spectrum of anxiety-related problems, and particularly OCD which is one of the most commonly presented problems at our facility. Because we have a staff composed of clinicians at different levels of experience, we are able to offer a range of fees depending on the patient's affordability and need.

Training Description:

After completion of my doctorate, I was awarded a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Behavior Therapy at SUNY-Stony Brook. It was during that postdoctoral year that Fellows were literally exposed to all the leaders in the field of Behavior Therapy, including the outstanding practitioners and researchers in the treatment of OCD. Shortly thereafter (1971), I co-founded the Institute for Behavior Therapy and have spent my entire professional career, spanning 38 years, both treating literally thousands of patients and training hundreds of young professionals in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy including OCD, one of the most frequently presented problems at our facility.
