Narrative of Services:
For over 20 years, the Anxiety Treatment Center in Northeast Ohio has specialized in state-of-the-art treatment for people of all ages with anxiety disorders and stress-related problems. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, hoarding, phobias, worry, and panic attacks have been shown by extensive research to be effectively treated by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Dr. Fleming and her staff have used CBT to treat literally thousands of patients with OCD and the depression that often accompanies it. Individual, couple, and family therapy, as well as in-vivo exposure when appropriate, are available for all ages. Medication consultations can also be arranged.
Barbara Fleming, PhD is a Diplomate and Founding Fellow of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy and trained with the originator of Cognitive Therapy and many other leading cognitive therapists. She was the Director of the Phobia Clinic at University Hospitals of Cleveland for 9 years and has been the Director of the Anxiety Treatment Center in Northeast Ohio for the past 20 years. She has trained hundreds of post-doctoral mental health professionals in the treatment of OCD and other anxiety disorders. She co-authored the books "Clinical Applications of Cognitive Therapy" and "Cognitive Therapy of Personality Disorders"
