Meyer D. Glantz, PhD
Narrative of Services:
In private individual practice I provide diagnostic and treatment to adults. In addition to OCD treatment, I also help patients with other disorders, marital and family issues, comorbid disorders, substance abuse, and pragmatic problems. Cognitive Behavior Therapy is my primary approach, but when needed I work collaboratively with several psychiatrists who specialize in pharmacological treatment.
I have been treating OCD and OC related disorders for 35 years. My original training was with OCD specialists using Cognitive Behavior and Behavior Therapy. I work part-time as an Associate Director for Science at NIH, which keeps me informed about the most current psychiatric research. As a result of my work at NIH, I have broadened my perspective on OCD to include a multidimensional approach to understanding disorders and an emphasis on individualizing intervention. Although I provide treatment for a range of behavior and psychiatric problems, OCD is an area of primary specialty.
