William M. Gordon, PhD
Narrative of Services:
Dr. Gordon specializes in the treatment of OCD, Tricholtillomania, and BDD for children and adults. His treatment strategies include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). All patients are seen by Dr. Gordon and not by students or associates. Treatment includes a comprehensive initial evaluation and consultation with family. Outpatient treatment can be weekly or more intensive and arrangements can be made for home visits and telephone follow-ups. Referrals can be made for psychiatric when requested by patients. Private, convenient setting in Upper Montclair, NJ.
Dr. Gordon received a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers University where his orientation was Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). He completed his Clinical Internship at Children's Psychiatric Center and is a Clinical Supervisor for graduate students at GSAPP and Rutgers University and a Clinical Instrictor of Psychiatry at UMDNJ. He is a graduate of the IOCDF's Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI), is on the Scientific Advisory Board of the NJ Chapter of the IOCDF, and has lectured and published on OCD for the IOCDF, ADAA, NJ Psychological Association, and numerous support groups. Dr. Gordon has specialized in treating OCD for over 12 years.
