Narrative of Services:

My practice is almost exclusively CBT based. At any given time, about one-half if not more of my practice involves treating clients with OCD or an OC related disorder. While much of my work is either education, CBT and/or ERP based, it is tailored and modified to each client’s specific needs. My goal is to educate and empower clients to use evidence based treatment methods that produce results. My DC office is more specifically adult based, simply because my hours of availability are during school hours (summer being an exception). My VA office allows also for some child-based work.

Training Description:

In my graduate program, I completed a speciality track in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). My pre-doctoral internship at the Washington DC VA Medical Center, and my post-doctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital, also included specialized training in behavioral medicine and CBT. Since completing my post-doctoral fellowship in 1999, I have continuously been implementing a CBT approach to treatment with clients that suffer from OCD related conditions, panic, GAD, and depressive disorders. I am also on adjunct faculty at both Georgetown Hospital and the George Washington University where my teaching includes CBT as well as behavior theory. I completed BTTI in 2009.
