Narrative of Services:

Dr. Hu provides cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in addition to specialty medication management of OCD and anxiety. Dr. Hu incorporated acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), exposure & response prevention (ERP), and dialectal behavioral therapy (DBT) in her approach based in clients’ needs. She has been treating OCD patients for the past 12 years.

Training Description:

Dr. Hu specializes in OCD and anxiety in both adults and children. She worked at McLean OCD Institute after her MPH degree at Harvard. She completed general psychiatry residency and child/adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Duke University Medical Center, with training in acceptance commitment therapy (ACT) under Dr. Rhonda Merwin (https://www.actatduke.org/training2). She then developed full service capacity at Boston University Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (BU CARD), including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). She currently works at Harvard Counseling & Mental Health Services for students.

Diversity Statement:

Dr. Hu has special interest in first and second generation immigrants, particularly with Chinese ethnicity background. She graduated from medical school in Taiwan and moved to the United Stated in 2009. She was licensed in North Carolina (inactive) and Massachusetts (active).

Dr. Hu continued her post-graduation training at Boston Medical Center and attended grand rounds regularly while she worked at BU CARD.
