Lydia Kaus, LCMHC
Narrative of Services:
I have been treating clients with OCD for the last six years in private practice in Raleigh, NC. About 60% of my clients have anxiety, OCD and/or OC Related disorders. I have treated mostly adult clients with OCD (including intrusive thoughts), and sometimes older adolescents. I specialize in anxiety disorders, OCD and mood disorders.
As a counselor in practice for over twelve years, I have been honored to work with clients from diverse backgrounds including different cultures, ethnicities, and across the spectrum in terms of gender. I counsel clients from the age range of 18 years old to over 65 years old.
My training as a counselor has included working with diverse populations to address sensitivity and competency in cultural and ethnicity and gender. I have enjoyed and continue to enjoy working with clients from all different backgrounds, and identities.
I am a graduate of East Carolina University. I am licensed as an LCMHC and LCAS in NC. I have been trained in CBT, ACT and ERP. I have attended workshops and training in OCD from BTTI through IOCDF’s Scientific Advisory Board, and professionals associated with Duke University as well as UNC. I regularly consult with local experts in the field.
