Narrative of Services:
Thriving Minds Behavioral Health Center is a outpatient behavioral and mental health clinic providing services to children and adolescents in Brighton, Michigan and the surrounding area. Our staff also provide treatment for children and teens nationwide through intensive treatment programming. At Thriving Minds, we specialize in assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders, including obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, specific phobias, social phobia, and selective mutism. In treating these disorders, we draw upon expertise in cognitive-behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention, and other evidence-based treatment modalities. Services are also offered for a range of other child and adolescent mental health concerns.
Dr. Kotrba has received extensive training in exposure and response prevention through supervised practice under therapists experienced in the treatment of OCD. She has additionally gained clinical experience in outpatient and hospital-based settings. Since receiving her doctoral degree, Dr. Kotrba has pursued extensive continuing education in the treatment of OCD through attendance at workshops and conferences.
