Narrative of Services:
Since 2013, I have been working with the eating disorder and body dysmorphic population. For two years, I worked exclusively with this population. Currently (and since 2016), I have carried an average caseload of 25 clients, with roughly 75% being those suffering with eating disorders, body dysmorphic disorder, obsessive compulsive behaviors, and other anxiety disorders.
Facilities accessible by clients of all mobility levels: Yes
During my schooling at Columbia University School of Social Work, I was trained in exposure therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy as part of my class work. During my internship at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, I received additional training in family therapy, and more extensive training in CBT, exposure therapy, and DBT for eating disorders and obsessive compulsive disorder. I have taken additional CEs to stay up to date on these treatment modalities. I have a specialty in eating disorder treatment and have been working post-graduate for 5 years in this area.
I believe that everyone has the right to therapy if they so desire to participate in it. I hope to be able to provide an all inclusive space for growth and exploration.
Several trainings in cultural competency, working with underserved communities, and an internship for the New York City Mayor’s Office to Combat Domestic Violence.
