Narrative of Services:
I offer support and services to a diverse group of clients with a variety of mental health disorders, including anxiety and trauma-related. I research evidence-based interventions and have attended training for Cognitive Behavioral Training at JFK University and BTTI – CBT, ERP (Offered through International OCD Foundation), which includes participating in an on-going Consultation Group, and membership in The International OCD Foundation.
I offer the client a “safe” space to begin the process of working through the experience of Traumatic Event(s). Trauma related symptoms of PTSD and OCD are treated utilizing a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, including Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), psycho-education, and other modalities (when appropriate). Also, dissociation symptoms related to traumatic event(s) are explored, assessed, and addressed through individualized treatment assessment and planning. The client’s symptoms causing the most distress are identified, assessed, prioritized, and immediately addressed to provide a decrease in client’s related symptoms.
Facilities accessible by clients of all mobility levels: No
I have been in private practice since 2016. I have worked as a psychotherapist for the past 10 years in various schools, mental health counseling centers, and clinics. I treat clients experiencing anxiety, trauma, and intrusive thoughts offering therapeutic support to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I use CBT, ERP, and when appropriate a variety of modalities including a strength-based approach to collaborate and problem-solve with clients. I have attended and successfully completed Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) offered through The International OCD Foundation. I am working on completing my follow-up calls.
