Renae Miller, LCPC
Narrative of Services:
I work two days a week and approximately 20-25% of my clients have OCD and another 50% of anxiety disorders of some type.
I also treat anxiety disorders of all forms, including panic disorder and PTSD as well as social anxiety disorder. I use CBT techniques, primarily exposure and response prevention to treat anxiety and OCD. For trauma-related anxiety, when CBT is not effective initially or the client is unable to do the work, I use EMDR to help de-sensitize any trauma that is exacerbating the OCD or anxiety as preparation for ERP.
Facilities accessible by clients of all mobility levels: Yes
I have been treating OCD patients for the past 5 years. I attended the BTTI and attended training with ANAD (Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders) regarding use of ERP in eating disordered patients.
I practice in a Christian group practice and my master’s degree training taught conceptualizing the whole person, including their spiritual components. I enjoy working with clients from diverse populations- racially, ethnically, and spiritually.
