Susan E. R. Mitchell PsyD
I treat OCD, perfectionism, trichotillomania and excoriation disorder, which make up about 35% of my practice. I also treat other anxiety disorders, which includes phobias, social anxiety, and general anxiety disorder. These make up about another 50% of my practice. In addition to anxiety disorders, I specialize in treating insomnia.
I earned my doctoral degree from Widener University and went on to pursue private practice after completing my post doctoral work. I have over 20 years of private practice experience and have been treating perfectionism and OCD with E/RP for over 13 years. I completed training in use of E/RP for OCD at the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Treatment and Study of Anxiety. I also have training in the Comprehensive Behavioral Treatment for trichotillomania and excoriation disorder. I attend the annual IOCDF conference to keep current with treatment innovations.
I have experience treating people with blindness or visual impairment, and have worked with men and women of a variety of racial, cultural, religious, and gender orientations.
