Joanne Park PhD, R. Psych.
I offer individual therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults seeking services for OCD and OCD related disorders. Treatment focuses mainly on E/RP with components added from cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behaviour therapy. Approximately half of my case load is dedicated to working with individuals with OCD. I use a youth and family centred approach, involving parents as much as possible in treatment.
Depression, Anxiety Disorders (Social Anxiety Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Selective Mutism, Specific Phobias, Separation Anxiety), Self Harm and Emotion Dysregulation, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD
I received advanced clinical training in treating OCD during my graduate training at the University of British Columbia, including graduate courses and workshops. I ran several treatment groups with adults with OCD at the university and an intensive OCD camp for children and teenagers at the BC Children’s Hospital, supervised by experts in the field. I’ve also worked with many OCD clients in individual practice.
