Dmitri Primavera, LCSW
Narrative of Services:
In private practice, I offer individual one-on-one treatment, in-office, in the community, and via teletherapy (video). More than half of my patients have – or in recovery from – OCD and/or a related disorder. I have treated more than 75 individuals suffering from one of these disorders, in private practice and IOP combined.
I completed two years of full-time training in an intensive outpatient program, founded and operated by a member of the IOCDF Scientific and Clinical Advisory Board. Upon licensure, I have elected to remain and have another 6 months full-time experience as a licensed therapist at this facility, where I have specialized in evidence-based treatment for OCD and OCD spectrum disorders, including exposure and response/ritual prevention, cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindful self-compassion. I also have expertise in the treatment of panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, general anxiety disorder, drawing from the forms of treatment already cited.
Diversity Statement: My caseload has consisted of people of various diverse backgrounds. The diversity has included race, ethnicity, gender and sexual identity, religion, and national origin. I have years of experience working in a counseling capacity with transgender and other gender-and-sexually diverse individuals. In addition, many of my patients have had co-occurring ADHD and/or ASD.
