Brittany Rudy, PhD
Narrative of Services:
I recently transitioned to private practice where I specialize in treatment of anxiety and OCD in youth and adults. Approximately 50 to 70% of my treatment caseload is made up of anxiety and/or OCD presentation. I also currently treat habit disorders (e.g., trichotillomania, skin picking, nail biting) using habit reversal training. I have treated or supervised treatment of more than 100 cases of OCD and/or habit disorders. I also have published numerous empirical articles on the subject of OCD in peer-reviewed journals.
I have seven years of experience treating adults and children with OCD and related disorders using Exposure with Response Prevention and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I completed my graduate training at Louisiana State University with an emphasis on pediatric anxiety disorders and OCD. I completed my postdoctoral fellowship at the University of South Florida’s Rothman Center for Pediatric Neuropsychiatry, a clinic which specializes in research, assessment, and treatment of OCD and related disorders in intensive and non-intensive formats, under senior supervisors in the field of OCD. During my fellowship, I also used habit reversal training to treat habit disorders and tics/Tourettes.
