Narrative of Services:

I am a licensed therapist who provides Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and personal counseling to adults of all ages and young adults over the age of 16 (our other therapists work with children and teens). Palo Alto Therapy specializes in helping with anxiety (including OCD), depression, and stress related problems. The therapy that we use is supported by research and is proven to be effective. We provide the support, assistance, and encouragement necessary to help our clients achieve their goals without having to spend years in therapy. We focus on Exposure Response Prevention for OCD, as well as providing the support needed to help our clients overcome their OCD and other emotional struggles.

Training Description:

Since 1996, I have dedicated my professional life to helping people work past problems for happier, more fulfilled lives with a focus on OCD and anxiety problems. I hold a Bachelors Degree from the University of the Pacific, a Masters Degree from UC Berkeley, and am a Certified Cognitive Therapist. Beyond this formal education, I have over 150 hours of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training. In addition to Palo Alto Therapy, in my recent history I was a tenured faculty member of Foothill College in Los Altos Hills where I provided personal counseling and taught courses on stress management and emotional wellness. OCD has been a primary focus of my career and two of our therapists are graduates of the BTTI Program that the OCD foundation sponsors.
