Janine Tremblay, PhD, APN
Narrative of Services:
I currently treat and have treated a variety of individuals with OCD utilizing a variety of approaches including medication management, CBT, and more general talk therapy which includes educational approaches and relaxation. I am a member of the Anxiety Disorders Association of America (ADAA) and have attended a number of their conferences as well as being a member of the IOCDF. In that forum, Panic, General Anxiety, and Social Anxiety Disorders are also addressed. I am therefore prepared to treat patients who have multiple anxiety related symptoms.
I received a PhD in Clinical Psychology from St. John's University in 1983. In 2004, I completed requirements to be certified as a Nurse Practitioner. These requirements included a BSN from Felician College and MSN from SUNY at Stony Brook. Ongoing collaboration with a psychiatrist is required to maintain credentialing as a Nurse Practitioner in NJ. In 1994, I graduated from Adelphi University in their certificate program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. A requirement of this program was over 200 hours of individual supervision of cases with a variety of disorders including OCD and related disorders.
