Erin Venker, LPCC
Narrative of Services:
Erin specializes in treating a range of anxiety disorders including obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, agoraphobia, specific phobias, social anxiety, panic disorder, hypochondriasis, and other anxiety related disorders. She utilizes evidence-based treatments, including exposure and response prevention therapy (ERP). She has experience working with individuals suffering from excessive rumination and doubt, perfectionism, repetitive unwanted thoughts or images, ritualistic or superstitious behaviors, and fears of contamination
Erin has received extensive training in exposure and response prevention therapy from multiple well-known experts in the field, and has several years of experience treating OCD and related disorders. Having OCD herself, Erin has a unique ability to connect with her clients. She uses creativity and an open sense of humor, while providing highly collaborative and evidenced-based treatment that focuses on clients to help them reach their individual treatment goals.
Diversity Statement: I have worked with clients from a variety of socioeconomic, religious, and ethnic backgrounds. I also have experience with LGBTQ clients. A large part of the education focus at St. Thomas was cultural competency and social justice.
