Parent OCD Support Group
The Parent OCD Support Group is a mutual support group for parents, siblings and caregivers of dependents (from pre-school through adulthood) with OCD. The meetings are typically informal discussions on such topics as symptoms, medication, cognitive behavior therapy, parent and sibling relationships, caring for an OCD dependent without enabling, etc. The goals of this group are sharing OCD knowledge, learning from each other’s experiences and informational support. Occasional guest speakers including mental health professionals are invited to speak on a specific topic of interest to the group. Other speakers may also include parents, adolescents or adults who have a story to tell about their successes and challenges of living with OCD. There are no fees and attendance is open without advance registration. The group meets at The Linder Center of Hope (see www.lindnercenterofhope.org for directions).
