New York Anxiety Treatment Center OCD Support Group
New York Anxiety Treatment (NYAT) seeks to deliver excellent evidence-based treatment for OCD, anxiety, and related disorders. Toward this goal, we provide patients with the dose of treatment appropriate for their needs in an efficient and accessible framework. In addition to individual therapy, we offer a range of avenues for patients in need of a comprehensive treatment plan to meet their goals in an intensive outpatient setting. For those who are in therapy or post therapy, we offer OCD support groups for maintenance and relapse prevention. To learn more, please contact NYAT at 212-518-8162 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Exposure Lab is a Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) group, designed to assist OCD patients in individual ERP with continuing to implement exposures throughout their week. It is an opportunity for directed and intensive exposure practice adjunctive to individual therapy. This group meets in person every Monday from 12:00 pm-1:30 pm.
GOAL Group is consistent with the principles of Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) and is intended to assist individuals suffering with OCD toward leading freer and more fulfilling lives. This group meets both virtually and in person every Tuesday from 6:30 pm-8:00 pm.
Small Groups are 45-minute sessions that give patients the opportunity to practice exposure with the support of a therapist and other participants. These groups meet virtually on a weekly basis.
Family and Friends is a support group for family and friends of individuals with OCD. It uses a combination of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to educate and support individuals supporting loved ones with OCD. This group meets virtually on Thursdays from 5:00-6:30 pm.
