1 in 5 children suffers from an Anxiety Disorder and 1 in 50 is diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Over 40% of children diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder also have a diagnosable Anxiety Disorder. Whether or not a child has an ASD, the symptoms of anxiety can be debilitating and often times they struggle with the demands of everyday life. This group will help parents share experiences and support each other as well as creating a forum where parents can share strategies and resources. We will also be sensitive to the unique challenges parents of children with Autism face when confronting anxiety.
