Narrativa de Servicios:

California Psychology Center is focused on OCD and anxiety disorders, with about 80% of individuals presenting for OCD or anxiety treatment (other conditions we treat include depression and PTSD). We offer detailed OCD assessment, as well as gold-standard OCD therapy (ERP integrated with ACT, CBT, and compassion-based approaches when appropriate to client needs). We offer weekly therapy, as well as more intensive options (2-3x/week) for individuals presenting with more severe symptoms or desiring faster symptom reduction.

Tratamiento de trastornos concomitantes:

In addition to providing ERP for OCD, I treat anxiety disorders and PTSD with exposure-based approaches. We will work together to understand the strategies (e.g., avoidance, compulsions, perfectionism) that are keeping you stuck, and consider ways to respond differently to challenging situations and uncomfortable emotions. Since we learn best by doing, I approach therapy actively and collaboratively as I encourage you to approach your fears in a systematic way. I will support you in building confidence, self-compassion, and connection with others as you practice new skills and engage more fully in life.

Descripción de capacitación:

I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I specialized in the research and treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders. During my doctoral internship at VA Palo Alto and my postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University’s School of Medicine, I gained additional training and experience in evidence-based treatments.
I have offered clinical workshops at IOCDF and in the community, as well as authored book chapters and research articles about ways to make our psychological treatments more effective, efficient, and accessible.

Declaración de diversidad:

The way we understand ourselves is shaped by our lived experiences, intersecting identities, and cultural contexts, and I invite these conversations into therapy. I have been grateful to receive training and supervision in culturally-responsive treatment, and I am committed to adapting evidence-based treatments to fit each client’s identities and values. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and identities and strive to provide inclusive and affirming care.
