Cindi Gayle PhD
The Florida OCD, Autism, and Anxiety Treatment Center (Floaat Center)
Dr. Gayle has treated or supervised hundreds of indviduals who have been diagnosed with an OCD and/or OC related disorder. Dr. Gayle uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, including Exposure and Response Prevention as well as mindfulness based approaches. Currently, she approximately 50% of her caseload includes those with an OCD and/or OC Related Disorder. She has experience treating those across the life-span.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
Depression, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Phobia
Dr. Gayle was trained as a postdoctoral resident at the University of Florida’s Department of Psychiatry’s OCD Center and continued her experiences as an assistant professor when she was the Director for OCD, Perinatal OCD, and Psychological Assessment, including Autism Spectrum Disorder assessment and treatment.
Diversity Statement:
Dr. Gayle serves on the International OCD Foundation’s Diversity Advisory Council and has been doing since its inception. She also presents regularly on the topic of multiculturalism and diversity at the local and international level.
Dr. Gayle’s specialization in graduate studies was on working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse populations. Since then she has led trainings for fellows and residents on topics related to providing practices that are inclusive and in a manner that appreciates diversity in all of its forms. Dr. Gayle has treated individuals all over the world due to the nature of her position when she was at the University of Florida and continues to treat individuals internationally in her private practice.
