Although originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, my education and research experiences have taken me across the USA (Arkansas, Michigan, Florida, Georgia) and world (Panama, Peru, Spain, Kenya, Mexico, Slovakia, Israel). I understand first-hand the importance of intergenerational healing and am invested in empowering individuals to overcome fears and cultivate their own innate bravery. I apply ERP and exposure-based principles in a way that center’s individuality and lived experiences. Aside from my clinical work, I am committed to clinical research that focuses on improving mental health treatment using strength-based and values-based approaches that consider diversity, cultural, and individual factors.

I am committed to providing equitable and accessible mental health treatment from a strength-based lens. Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging is a thread that links all of my work- as a scholar, clinical researcher, and psychologist. In my work, I have primarily focused on equity and accessibility issues (tolerability to exposure therapy) and received dedicated training in areas of diversity, like race, ethnicity, national identity/immigration, gender, sexual identity, and military status.
