I am striving to have 75% or more of my clients to be OCD related. Currently it is 50% of my practice. Although I have experience with various backgrounds and diagnosis, I prefer to serve those with OCD since they have few therapist to treat and advocate for them.
I have training through the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety at the University of Pennsylvania. I went through an intensive training that included for Adults as well as the Pediatric population. I am also in the extended supervision program to be officially certified. I also am currently working with NOCD and received their training. I have been working with OCD clients for one year and specialize in scrupulosity as I also have a ministry background and an M.Div. In Theology.
Diversity Statement:
I am originally from El Salvador, was raised there for 4 years and lived for the rest of my life in the USA – New York & Texas. I have traveled to more than 40 countries in my short life and have learned to speak English, Spanish, and French. Therefore I aim to serve all cultures and peoples. However, because of my Latino background, I also want to open my services to this population.
I have an M.Div. In Theology and so have a special competency in Scrupulosity. I am to help these people be set free from this subtype of OCD so that they can truly be free to practice their faith in peace and the fullness of joy.
