Ana Jarzin LMHC
At this moment 50% percentage of my practice is related to OCD and related disorders. The other 50% are not related to OCD but my professional goal is to build a practice and an institute that only focuses on OCD.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
Depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, Trauma
I’ve been treating OCD patients for 7 years. My clients usually have comorbidity diagnosis as PTSD, anxiety, ODD, ADD/ADHD, anger, low self-esteem, trauma, and depression amongst others.
I’ve worked for the Children’s Home Society, Yellow Umbrella, and Thriveworks as Telehealth therapist focusing on patients with OCD.
I am part of the Florida Crisis Internvention team. I am also do parenting education and behavioral support.
Diversity Statement:
I have been working with a diverse population since my early adulthood. Besides speaking three languages, I’ve lived in South Florida for 26 years. As a result, I have experience with diverse cultures, religions, and tongues, and I love working with and learning from people worldwide.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, so it is part of my education to learn about different cultures.
I am also a school guidance counselor. I have to be ESOL (English as Second Language) certified, which also gave me excellent knowledge about how to help students who do not speak English and learn about their cultural background. Understanding a person’s culture is essential to know how they learn and the best way to teach them.
