Our Center is specialized in treating people struggling with anxiety, OCD, and OCD-related disorders. Most, of our clients come with a form of OCD or anxiety.

Dr. Rivera Villegas specializes in the treatment of OCD and anxiety and related disorders using evidence-based approaches such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other Mindfulness-based interventions. His area of clinical and research interests include the development, adaptation, and dissemination of mindfulness-based therapies. Throughout his training and career, he has treated over 100 individuals with OCD.

Carlos E. Rivera Villegas, Ph.D. is a Clinical Psychologist and the Director and Co-founder of The New England Center for OCD and Anxiety, New York. His role includes providing individual, family, and group therapy to youth, adults, and parents, as well as training clinicians.

Dr. Rivera Villegas completed his Ph.D. at Suffolk University in Boston, and his clinical internship at Harvard Medical School/Cambridge Health Alliance. He has also worked and trained at various settings including The Child and Adolescent OCD Institute at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School, The Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders at Boston University, and Boston Children’s Hospital.
