Narrativa de Servicios:

The practice specializes in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy to address psychological concerns across diverse age groups. A substantial portion of my clinical work focuses on OCD and anxiety disorders, and I have extensive experience treating individuals with these conditions. I am trained in evidence-based interventions, including Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD. My goal is to provide collaborative, goal-oriented care that supports individuals in building skills, reducing symptoms, and enhancing overall functioning.

Tratamiento de trastornos concomitantes:

My treatment approach for OCD with co-occurring anxiety and/or ASD is flexible and individualized. Consistent with empirical literature, I use evidence-based interventions grounded in CBT and Exposure and Response Prevention, while adapting the structure to emphasize behavioral strategies that support autistic learning styles. Ongoing assessment guides adjustments to address co-occurring symptoms and strengths. Treatment prioritizes collaboration, skill-building, and clear frameworks to enhance engagement and support meaningful progress across domains.

Descripción de capacitación:

Early in my training, I completed an advanced practicum at the Baylor College of Medicine OCD Program, where I gained experience in both clinical treatment and research related to OCD. I continued treating OCD and anxiety presentations throughout my graduate and pre-doctoral internship training and later returned to the Baylor College of Medicine OCD Program for my postdoctoral fellowship. This experience further strengthened my skills in Exposure and Response Prevention and expanded my research foundation in OCD, supporting a well-rounded, evidence-based clinical approach.

Declaración de diversidad:

I have training and extensive experience working with Spanish-speaking individuals and families across diverse clinical settings. My work is guided by current empirical recommendations for culturally and linguistically responsive care, emphasizing respect for each person’s cultural context, values, and strengths. I am committed to providing affirming services that adapt evidence-based practices to clients’ linguistic and cultural needs, with the goal of fostering strong therapeutic engagement and supporting meaningful, client-centered outcomes.

During my graduate training, I expanded my skills through fellowships at the University of Houston’s Center for Mexican American and Latino/a Studies and the Leadership Education in Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) program. I then completed a bilingual training track during my pre-doctoral internship, which further strengthened my clinical work with Spanish-speaking and culturally diverse populations. These experiences reinforced my commitment to culturally responsive, strengths-based, and inclusive psychological practice.
