Descripción de capacitación:

I have treated OCD, Anxiety and mood disorders for over 20 years while working in community mental health outpatient settings as well as in my private practice. I have pursued training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through the Feeling Good Institute in California and hold a level 3 certification in TEAM CBT therapy. I obtained ERP training through the International OCD Foundation’s Behavior Therapy Training Institute, the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Psychiatry Academy, and through my affiliation with OCD New Jersey. I have been actively training in ICBT since 2022 and engage in ongoing clinical consultation with the co-creator since 2023.

Declaración de diversidad:

I’ve lived in South American countries and have an in-depth awareness of the role cultural differences play in mental health functioning in different Latin American regions. Having immigrated to the United States as a young adult, I understand the impact the acculturation process has in every day function. Throughout the years, I have the privilege to work with clients of various diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. I strive to increase my understanding of their unique experience and be mindful of the impact their culture and identity have in their clinical presentation.

My graduate education placed a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusion for social workers. Throughout the years, I have expanded this learning through ongoing trainings offered through NASW as well as various approved continue education providers for the state of NJ and NY.
