Diversity Statement:

I am fluent in Spanish and English with a family background of Latin descent. In addition to my own bicultural roots, I have had several professional experiences that have increased my cultural competency and greatly contributed to my work with diverse populations. Specifically, my graduate work at a community counseling center in South Florida, and opportunities to work with individuals from a wide range of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds in CA. I continue to educate myself through professional consultations and readings. I feel strongly about mental health services being accessible to all and strive to provide effective and evidenced based treatment.
