Treatment Engagement

This course covers strategies for enhancing engagement in pediatric obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) treatment using a developmental psychopathology framework. Participants will examine how developmental stages, family systems, motivation, autonomy, and playful approaches influence treatment participation and outcomes in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). The course emphasizes practical, developmentally informed interventions that improve motivation, reduce accommodation, and increase adherence to evidence-based OCD treatment in children and adolescents.
