Livestreams are educational and are not intended to replace therapy. For treatment-related questions, please work with your provider or contact a local clinician. You can use the IOCDF’s online Resource Directory to locate a trained clinician near you, or e-mail us at info@iocdf.org for assistance.

Community Conversations

Select Tuesdays, 7–8pm ET

IOCDF National Advocate Ethan Smith leans on his own lived experiences navigating OCD to create a candid space for anyone (from anywhere) to discuss the OCD and related disorders issues most important to them. You choose the topics, you ask the questions—live, in real time! Whether you just want to listen in, support others in the chat, ask questions, or talk about current events and how they’re impacting your life, you’re the community, and this is your conversation. Together, we can educate, reduce stigma, and most importantly, provide hope.

Town Hall

Select Tuesdays, 7–8:30pm ET

If you’re an individual with OCD/related disorders, a significant other, a family member, a friend or a clinician, this is the spot to hear different perspectives on a variety of topics important to you. Town Halls are hosted by experts and individuals with lived experience, exploring subtypes, symptoms, and co-occurring conditions in understandable ways. So whether you’ve just discovered the community or you’re a veteran, you’re sure to learn and feel supported during this 90-minute livestream. (And be sure to bring your questions; this is a great opportunity to access some of the best minds in the field.)

Ask the Experts

Select Wednesdays, 12–1pm ET

You ask, they answer: OCD experts and IOCDF Advocates Liz McIngvale, PhD and Chris Trondsen, LMFT join together to answer your questions and share clinical insights and education around OCD, anxiety, and related disorders. This stream is intended for all audiences and provides both clinical and personal perspectives, as Liz and Chris have experienced their own journeys with OCD along their paths to becoming licensed clinicians in the field. Join us to learn more about OCD, treatment, and specific topics. Be sure to bring your questions!

Faith & OCD Roundtable

Third Tuesdays (every other month), 78pm ET

Are you seeking to navigate OCD while remaining connected to your faith community? Have you ever felt like you had to choose between your religious space and clinical mental health treatment? Have you ever struggled with whether to turn to a faith leader or mental health practitioner? IOCDF Lead Advocate Katie O’Dunne moderates this roundtable discussion to bridge the gap between faith and OCD. An interfaith chaplain with OCD, Katie brings lived experience to engage faith leaders, clinicians, and individuals with OCD from various faith traditions. Join Katie for a variety of topics focused on leaning into uncertainty while embracing the value of faith. All are welcome!

Research Roundtable

Second Thursdays, 12–1pm ET

Our understanding of OCD is constantly evolving, with exciting new research about the psychology, biology, and treatment of the disorder published daily. But research articles are complicated, technical, and often inaccessible unless you work in academia. This stream bridges the gap to bring you a clear and concise update on the world of OCD research! Each month, hosts Jonathan Abramowitz, PhD, and IOCDF Advocate Kyle King pick a hot topic in OCD literature to dissect with expert researchers in the field. Whether you’re a clinician, a researcher, or someone impacted by OCD, we guarantee you’ll find it fascinating.

Diversity Roundtable

Third Tuesdays (every other month), 6–7pm ET

The Diversity Roundtable is an open discussion for members of the OCD and related disorders to talk about representation, access to treatment, stigma, and much more. Host Dr. Darlene Davis will be joined by advocates and members of the OCD & related disorders community to discuss their individual lived experiences with OCD and overlapping experiences (comorbidities) such as OCD & ADHD, OCD & Autism, OCD & Trauma/PTSD, OCD & BDD.

Supporting Our Families

Monthly on a Thursday (varies each month), 7–8pm ET

Join the parent and caregiver livestream, Supporting Our Families, addressing the challenges of navigating difficult behaviors in children of all ages with OCD. Explore strategies to combat burnout and compassion fatigue while empowering parents to motivate their kids in effectively managing their OCD. Gain valuable insights and answers to your questions from our panel of experts to foster a supportive environment on this journey!
