Community Conversations
IOCDF National Advocate Ethan Smith leans on his own lived experiences navigating OCD to create a candid space for anyone (from anywhere) to discuss the OCD and related disorders issues most important to them. You choose the topics, you ask the questions—live, in real time! Whether you just want to listen in, support others in the chat, ask questions, or talk about current events and how they’re impacting your life, youâ are the community, and this is your conversation. Together, we can educate, reduce stigma, and most importantly, provide hope.

Research Roundtable
Research Roundtable
Our understanding of OCD is constantly evolving, with exciting new research about the psychology, biology, and treatment of the disorder published daily. But research articles are complicated, technical, and often inaccessible unless you work in academia. This stream bridges the gap to bring you a clear and concise update on the world of OCD research! Each month, hosts Jonathan Abramowitz, PhD, and IOCDF Advocate Kyle King pick a hot topic in OCD literature to dissect with expert researchers in the field. Whether youâ are a clinician, a researcher, or someone impacted by OCD, we guarantee you’ll find it fascinating.

We are committed to curating a calendar of events that serve our entire community and align with our mission to ensure that no one affected by OCD and related disorders suffers alone. Each submission is reviewed by an IOCDF staff member to ensure the relevance of events featured in our calendar. Events should contribute to the advancement of the IOCDF mission and goals and are not designed for profit generation, ticket sales, or other revenue-generating activities. We encourage event organizers to submit their events based on these requirements for review.
We welcome event submissions from all sources, including those with lived experience, clinicians who treat OCD, and advocates and allies in the community. We're especially proud to highlight the great resources and training opportunities put on by IOCDF Professional Members, Institutional Members, Affiliates, and Strategic Partners.
Hosting an event of your own? Fill out this form to have it added to the calendar so community members can join in!
Note: The events calendar is intended for informational purposes only. Inclusion in the IOCDF calendar is not an endorsement.
