OCD Fundamentals

This course provides an overview of OCD assessment and diagnosis, therapeutic and pharmacological interventions, and complicating factors in treatment. Assessment measures and differential diagnoses will be covered, as well as common clinician roadblocks and challenges in beginning to treat OCD. Participants will learn about the impact of culture, treatment engagement, and family accommodation, and how to build, introduce, and implement a hierarchy in Exposure and Response Prevention. This course includes a mock session, putting theory into practice.
